Tom Geller departs from Lyris Technologies [This note was sent to friends and colleagues by e-mail 1 October, 1998] Folks, This past Tuesday, I parted ways with Lyris Technologies Inc., where I was a Product Manager. The separation is amicable: We had differing beliefs about product strategy and company direction, and ultimately realized that our differences were irreconcilable. I'm sad to be leaving the company, but pleased that we were able to accomplish so much during our time together. I continue to feel that the company has best-of-class software for e-mail filtering and list serving, and look forward to seeing how their product lines develop. Meanwhile, I'm keeping an eye out for a position similar to the one I held there. My preference is for high-responsibility business development work, with strengths in product management, events management and press relations. Because I like highly varied tasks, I've found that I'm best in small and/or highly entrepreneurial companies. If you know of anything appropriate, let me know!
